This meeting took place in the evening of the last day of the GYG founding conference. The sesssion was represented by seven out of the nine members nominated. It was facilitated by Franklin Ewane and the following agenda was adopted;

Deliberations on the way forward for the African Greens,
Proposals for working groups,
The election of the cordinating committee,
Proposals for communication in the FYAG.

The deliberations on the first issue revealed that all members were committed towards the creation of the FYAG. In this regard many proposals were made on the drawing up of the statue and other guiding priciples that will be relevant for the network. It was concluded that FYAG will incoporate the statue of GYG, modify and complete it according to African realities. Therefore all members were charged with the responsibility of drawing up the draft status, subject it for modification and approval by the African congress.
On the issue of the working group, the following thematic groups were set-up:

The general organising group,
The fundraising group,
The publicity and sensitisation group.

Members were later nominated in various working groups.

FYAG coordination committee was also set-up. It comprises of a general cordinator in the name of Cosmas Ba-Anai- Itenebe (Nigeria), Frank Habineza as general secretary and Martha Mesfin (Ethiopia) as treasurer.
The meeting ended with the following recommendations:

Firstly, that the next meeting was to be held the following day after breakfast;
That this minutes will be developed, read and signed by all the elected represetatives that were present;
That the minutes will be forwarded to the GYG steering committee and other relevant bodies;
Finally that all outcomes from these deliberations will be published in the mailing list of the GYG.
